WELCOME TO CRIEFF PROBUS CLUB

We are a friendly club with around 50 members who have a wide variety of backgrounds and life experiences. We pride ourselves in attracting a range of interesting speakers from the local community and beyond. Meetings are relatively informal with each speaker providing a talk of approximately 45 minutes followed by a question and answer session. Visitors are most welcome. The current schedule of talks is shown on the Club Programme page.

We are always looking to attract new members. Both men and women are welcome to join, bringing their life experiences to the club and keeping it active. It is worth remembering that "semi-retired" and "retired" can apply to any age group, not just senior citizens. We would be delighted to hear from you. For further information please see our Contact Us page.

Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month with a break during the summer months. Most meetings are held at the British Legion Halls, Perth Road, Crieff with coffee available from 10:00am and talks starting at 10:30am, unless otherwise noted in the Club Programme page.

Occasionally, a meeting may involve a visit to a location of interest rather than being held at the British Legion Halls. This will be indicated on the Club Programme page. There may be a charge for such visits and details will be provided to members in advance.

Some of our members are keen golfers and meet to play regularly together or sometimes against other organisations. Golf normally continues even during the summer break. Further details are shown at the bottom of the Club Programme page.

Crieff Probus Club and its activities were severely impacted by the Covid pandemic. To ensure as safe an environment as possible, changes were made to how we used the facilities within the British Legion Halls. Many of these changes remain in place. The management of the British Legion Halls and the Crieff Probus Committee continue to monitor the situation and will take whatever decisions are deemed necessary to comply with government and NHS advice. However, it remains the responsibility of each member to avoid attending a meeting if they are exhibiting the signs or symptoms of Covid or of any other infectious condition.

For visits and meetings held elsewhere, the Committee will ensure appropriate health and safety arrangements are in place at these locations. Members and their guests will be expected to adhere to those as a condition of attending. Relevant details will be provided to members in advance.
